Paul Schreier

Of Paul and I fame from the Feb 1 Teleconference. At first i thought he was Jeremy’s personal secretary - they seemed joined at the hip - but he’s more than that - he’s COO at Wellcome - appointed Sep 2019. 

His last gig was CEO of Hakluyt - a shadowy private intelligence gathering organization for the rich and powerful described as a retirement home for ex-MI6 - that was mixed up in the Bo Xilai scandal (before Paul’s time as CEO). The person murdered - Neil Heywood - was a Hakluyt employee. 

Before Hakluyt, Paul was a public-servant strategist for the Department of PM & Cabinet, Australia - under Julia Gillard - who took over from  Baroness Manningham-Buller at Wellcome.

Schreier’s specialty is strategy and intelligence gathering - no wonder he was a key figure in the Feb 1 Teleconference. 

So at the time Covid broke, we have:

Manningham-Buller, ex-head of MI5 as Wellcome Chair

Paul Schreier, ex-CEO of Hakluyt (a retirement home for ex-MI6) as Wellcome COO

Sir Jeremy Farrar, a member of the murky Oxford/Chinese Academy of Science organization specializing in genomics surveillance, and co-ordinator of the Feb 1 Teleconference as Director.

That premise, that Wellcome functions an unofficial, private security organization, is looking a lot less fanciful all of a sudden.
