Dark Powers

Daszak's Concluding Argument

The dark power of the internet means that anyone, anywhere, can find evidence to echo even the most outlandish of claims.

Pete, insisting that the CCP, a textbook Dark Power, is open and transparent, as you've repeatedly done, is the most outlandish claim imaginable.   Easily disprovable.  Hit me up in the comments, Pete, if you need examples.   Do you rather mean: science-experts-on-the-take are the only dark power authorised to find evidence to echo even the most outlandish of claims?

(editing note: later i discovered Pete's words make much-more-sense if you flip 'em - swap in scientists every time he talks about his enemies - that revelation came too late for this book, but bear it in mind as you read Dazza's quotes - it will make everything funnier if nothing else)

Regardless, it’s not what Sir Richard, the person you nominated as your opponent at the beginning of this article, did.   He simply cited an academic paper (Sorensen, Dalgleish) raising concerns about the possibility of a lab-origin.  Via a lab-accident.  Same as has occurred many, many times in the past.  Pointing out the over-the-top vitriol this bleedingly-obvious observation provoked from THE Science Community.

On my journey, that emotional response from scientists was, in itself, is a massive Red-Flag Alert.  Deductively, the only explanation is: something fishy is going on here.

Theories that Sars originated from space or that HIV was manmade (or the CCP is open and transparent) are readily available, but it doesn’t make them true.  Such conspiracies play to our most base instincts and paranoias – fears that dissolve logic and reason.

Cool! I don’t know what the World-Record-Strawman is, but that’d give it a shake.  Let’s report how far our world-leading expert WHO-backed scientist academic intellectual has moved-the-bar here - for posterity.

Sir Richard Dearlove argues:

The possibility Covid  started as an accident should be considered in any investigation, and notes  attempts by the leadership to lock down any debate about the origins of the pandemic and the way that people have been arrested or silenced.   Apart from his own knowledge of how the CCP works, as ex-head of MI6, he provided the Sorensen, Dalgleish paper as evidence.

You: feel threatened by that so resort to childish name-calling.  You're only evidence is self-incriminating - admitting that WIV held the planet's entire collection of:  the closest known relatives to Sars-CoV-2.   From there you leap to equating Dearlove’s concerns about CCP transparency to theories that SARS originated from space!   (Btw, there is a plausible theory that AIDS was man-made, despite your efforts to use it as Strawman.)

Meanwhile, you remain adamant that WIV should not be investigated because:

I've worked with the WIV for a good decade or more. I know some of the people there pretty well and I have visited the labs frequently, I've met and had dinner with them over 15 years.

That's a valid reason for why you have a conflict of interest and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the investigation, except on the other side of the interrogation table.  But it's not a valid reason for quarantining WIV from the investigation.

This conflict of interest and name-calling response raises a couple of questions:

1. Is this the kind of logic and reason you’re going to be applying during the WHO Investigation?

2. WTF are you up to on behalf of the CCP?
