Domestic Surveillance
Like every whipped-up crisis, it always results in central orgs gobbling up (more) basic freedoms from the populace. To keep us safe. Influence is a currency - a finite commodity. When individuals lose it, it doesn’t disappear into thin air.
That bit of influence/data is sucked up to proportionately swell the Org’s holdings.
So, using the truism that: entrenched, corrupt behaviour is a good indicator of future behaviour, i wonder: What’s THE Media’s motivation in manufacturing the Conspiracy Theorist Cop Killer angle?:
MSM: Experts say the shooting will likely change the way authorities assess conspiracy theorists and the risk of violence.
Straight to the point. A ramped-up power-grab surveillance of anyone questioning the origin of Covid or the authoritarian measures deployed in the wake of it. Pump-up your algorithms. All fully-approved by THE Experts.
Mission: Track those fuckers down. To narrow the search, zero in on anyone using the word Freedom.
A former long-serving national security official, who asked not to be named (public-funded secret guy), told the publication that he was “utterly baffled” that other posts made by Gareth were not on the radar of police.
The utterly baffling posts (detailed in this Crikey article) are nothing out of the ordinaryordinary. - heTrain felt the state was corrupt, using Covid to tighten its stranglehold. He was an ex-School Principal, so … it was quite coherent .. provocative … but notshort of advocating violence. Not different from what you’d see on billions of websites where posters vent their mistrust inof the authorities … much more like protesting than terrorism.
But here’s the thing: according to his posts, Train was on the radar of police. He mentioned in these other posts that he was being hounded by the police.them. Named four police officers he accused of doing it.
THE Police are declining to comment on this accusation, due to the usual ongoing-investigation-bs excuse - none of which stopped them releasing the helicopter kill-tapes from the crack-squad. The only statement from the police is that it was a routine welfare checkup. There’d been nothing prior to that.
Again, we’re not allowed to know for sure one way or another coz it’s a state-secret. Why is it a secret? Well, we can’t answer that coz it’s a secret!secret!
The Crikey article invites the question: if he was on the radar, why were four young officers sent to his house? Four. So many. For a welfare checkup? Is that normal? All of them young. If Train was under surveillance - what was it in relation to?
It's pertinent, coz it goes to culpability: if higher-ups had been interacting with him in a goading way, spinning him out - then sent 4 young officers to his property … ? Sounds like lambs-to-the-slaughter. I don’t know the answer coz the ones who do know are playing hush-hush with the info.
Whatever, understanding the crime was never the point of THE Media’s/THE Experts’ propaganda. The point is: smash n grab surveillance power on conspiracy theorists
Lydia Khalil, expert in extremism, research fellow Lowy Institute & Deakin University: (The shooting will) change how researchers and government agencies calculate the risk of violence that they (conspiracy theorists) pose, because we now have a clear example – a precedent – of this type of conspiratorial behaviour leading to violence.
This is so ridiculous - it’s like rounding up all Christians coz of the Lennon assassination, or all scientists coz of the Anthrax mailings, or all FBI agents coz of the JFK assassination - actually that last one … wouldn’t be a terrible idea …
THE Guardian: He also posted about his mistrust for authorities, including comments critical of the Queensland Special Emergency Response Team (Sert), which ultimately arrived at the property and .. shot him.
Right, so anyone who mistrusts the authorities, makes critical comments, is: a potential domestic-terrorist to be surveilled.
What’s up with that weird, frightening behaviour?
I’m getting the (unpleasant) whiff here of the experts shitting their pants …
